The project “First Impressions” explores the natural resources and traces left by the habitation of the environment. Using the frottage technique, different rooms, spaces, and everyday objects of the Pazo de Tor are systematically recorded: floors, chairs, wardrobes, heraldry, room moldings, book covers, stone inscriptions, tableware, etc., all of which speak to the inevitable obsolescence of our living environment. The installation rescues and freezes on paper a fragment of the place's memory; a recollection of a way of life that, rather than being systematically erased from the landscape and memory, is isolated to interpret the intimacy of the home and the act of inhabiting it as a collective experience.
