The topographies projected by Miguel Ángel Benjumea and Román Corbato explore the landscape as a territory of leisure and opportunity, of encounter and socialization. With Homo Ludens , the artists transform the Hejduk Towers into a place conducive to playful activity, revealing relational dynamics and reinventing its interior as a space that fosters various situations. Two red plastic sculptures herald a return: the return of play. This reclaims the disruptive practice of the playground as a dress rehearsal for leisure life and as a condition for the very existence of culture. For several years now, artistic practice has understood that every place has come to be conceived as a landscape, whether natural or artificial, and in this sense—by shifting the perspective— Homo Ludens is projected as an object of infinite possible transformations. A site-specific intervention that opens up entirely new ways of conceiving our relationship with the natural environment, through 'air' territories that appeal to the margins and boundaries of leisure, transforming the towers into a temporary collective space. A landscape of plastic and air, playful and artificial.
